Hello and happy Wednesday readers! Today I have a new indie spotlight for you. I’ll be reviewing a selection of eyeshadows from Corvus Cosmetics, a relatively new brand with a focus on themes of literature, mythology, and tarot cards!
Happy “It’s almost Christmas!” day to everyone! 🙂 I recently got my Notoriously Morbid Black Friday order in the mail and I really wanted to share it with everyone. It’s been grey and rainy (no hope for a white Christmas here) but I managed to grab some photos on a relatively bright day.
Hello everyone! I have an awesome post for you guys today, and I mean awesome as in “ohmygod look at how many swatches there are”. I have swatched my ENTIRE Hello Waffle collection! Every single eyeshadow, blush, highlighter, and lip thing that I own from them. Granted, I don’t have the entire brand (yet) but wowza did I go crazy during her last sale 🙂
If you didn’t know, Hello Waffle is a Canadian indie brand (named after her cat, Waffle!) that does eyeshadows, blushes, lip balms, cheek products, etc. They pretty much do every type of cosmetic. And they have cute themes, including a punny one called Catssic Literature (books + cats!). I’ve been wanting to highlight this brand for a while and now is a good time so you can narrow down your wishlist before their Black Friday sale!
Happy Saturday! Despite being overjoyed for the weekend, today I have a somewhat sad post. There’s nothing sadder to me than finding a disappointment in a brand I love. Today I have Lipstick Queen’s Three to Thrill Trio and the Hello Sailor lipstick, both which turned out to products I had to return…
Whoo hoo, it’s FRIDAY! I hope everyone has a fun weekend planned 🙂
Today, in anticipation of tomorrow’s Ulta sale on Butter London ($10 every lipstick!!) I swatched all the Butter London lip products that I own now! I may or may not be planning on doubling my collection come tomorrow’s sale…
Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you all are having awesome weekends 🙂
I’ve been trying various Sephora brand products lately and have been surprisingly impressed! There’s definitely a lot of hidden gems that no one really talks about… so I thought I would 🙂 Here’s a collection of some of my Sephora favorites!
I am SO THANKFUL that it’s Friday! This has been the longest week ever. August has been slow and hot and gross so I’m glad the first seven days are over 🙂
I popped into Sephora to return an item (post on that later) and on my way out I looked at the Sephora that’s in JCPenneys just to check out the differences in items they carry (for example, my regular Sephora was sold out of most of the new Kat Von D shades but the one in JCP had them all still). And lo and behold, the entire stock of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics was on a big clearance! I’ve been wanting to try the brand for years now but never really took the plunge. So of course, feeling good this Friday, I bought a bunch!
I got the OCC Tinted Moisturizer in R1 (I plan on mixing this with another foundation that’s too yellow for me), the Creme Colour Concentrate in Miriam (an awesome muted rose plum), Lip Tars in Manhunter (crazy sparkly gold red) and Roleplay (metallic red), and a Cosmetic Colour Pencil in Feathered (bright white, plan on using this on my bottom waterline). Everything was 50% off 🙂
I’m EXCITED to play around with these! I haven’t ever used OCC but I’ve heard great things.
Oh, and by the way guys, there’s a lot of cool things in the Sephora sale section right now. Like the Kat Von D Chrysalis palette!!!
I got in-person confirmation today that this palette is being DISCONTINUED. Which really makes me itchy to grab one… I don’t really use palettes that often and I tend to build my own, but daaaang this is tempting.
Have an awesome weekend~!
til later lovelies,
It is very much summer where I live right now (ugh it’s so hot) and despite my overwhelming love for opaque red lipsticks, sometimes I just need to change things up. Enter the ck One Shine Lipsticks!
So as you know I am totally head over heels for the new Urban Decay Mattes! I already own two and I have two more I plan to get (plus the UD web exclusive Backtalk when it finally hits online sometime in August!) Bittersweet was my first and After Dark is my second!
But lo and behold~ I already had something verrrry similar in my stash!
Keep reading to see just how closely these match…
