Happy Saturday! Sorry for the accidental week of absence. I was totally knocked out by a nasty winter virus and was basically useless for a week. I’m feeling better now though, yay!
I have a long Saturday Swatchfest post for you, aka more of my Birds of a Feather series! Today it’s my many, many rose gold shadows and a few more metallic shades thrown in.

Continuing my Valentine’s theme, I have AFK’s Princess Bride collection to review! I’m not the biggest fan of romantic sappy movies (with a few exceptions) but I love romantic comedies. I consider The Princess Bride to be more like 75% comedy and 25% romantic, but it’s still a good Valentine’s movie choice 🙂
AFK’s Princess Bride collection is technically not for sale right now, but it may crop back up seasonally or for a Black Friday special, which is how I snagged mine. The highlighter in this collection, Mawwage, is thankfully permanent and is also one of HG’s. Do recommend!
AFK Cosmetics Inconceivable! Collection
Hello everyone! I have an awesome post for you guys today, and I mean awesome as in “ohmygod look at how many swatches there are”. I have swatched my ENTIRE Hello Waffle collection! Every single eyeshadow, blush, highlighter, and lip thing that I own from them. Granted, I don’t have the entire brand (yet) but wowza did I go crazy during her last sale 🙂
If you didn’t know, Hello Waffle is a Canadian indie brand (named after her cat, Waffle!) that does eyeshadows, blushes, lip balms, cheek products, etc. They pretty much do every type of cosmetic. And they have cute themes, including a punny one called Catssic Literature (books + cats!). I’ve been wanting to highlight this brand for a while and now is a good time so you can narrow down your wishlist before their Black Friday sale!
Hello Waffle shadows galore!
The title says it all, really 🙂
In anticipation of ultra-cute indie company Hello Waffle‘s brand new Blushed collection (ROSE GOLDSSSS!!!) I swatched every single coppery and rose gold loose pigment shadow (and one Stila) trying to see if I already own anything comparable. Thank goodness I don’t, because my hunger for rose golds makes me want the whole shebang 🙂
Anyways, this will be a very pic heavy post! There are 10 eyeshadows from Silk Naturals, Geek Chic Cosmetics, Victorian Disco, Dark Matter Makeup, and Looxi Beauty.

Time for another indie spotlight, this time on Dark Matter Makeup! if you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen me mention this awesome space & stars inspired brand. I looove space stuff so I was sold from the get-go. They also have Star Wars lipsticks that are cooler than the CoverGirl ones, so it was an obvious choice to sample this company 🙂

Happy Wednesday everyone! It’s hump day and I don’t know about you guys, but I’m already ready for the week to be over 🙂
Today I have a new-to-me brand that’s also probably new to most of you! If you’re on Instagram you’ve might have heard of this indie brand that has been winning people over with their products.
Looxi Beauty! Their product photos on IG are gorgeous and everyone who is obsessed with highlighters have been saying nothing but praises. The IG account colourpopcult has been raving about them so my interest was definitely piqued. I’m not the biggest highlighter person but I’ve been on this rather fruitless search to find a perfect cool-toned highlighter for a while now and I basically buy anything that looks like it could be it 🙂
So what did I buy?
So I’ve already collect a decent amount of Colourpop’s shadows and I’ve yet to talk about any of them here! I’ll do a roundup of my whole collection soon (probably after the sheer Lippie Stix come out… because I sense that I’ll be grabbing a couple haha 🙂 ) but here’s what I grabbed during the Ultra Matte madness!
