YAY! I have the last of the Shiro Harry Potter collection to show you! Today is the Chocolate Frog highlighter and bronzer, as well as all five lipglosses 🙂
Let’s start with the Chocolate Frogs.
The frogs are a bronzer and highlighter duo. I totally enjoyed these more than I had originally anticipated. I found them to be flattering colors in real life/on my skin, as well as easy to blend which is important for a face product.
The Milk frog was a nice milk chocolate color, true to name. There’s a bit of a gleam shine to it, but it isn’t a glittery bronzer, which I quite like. I would say this is comparable to Hoola. I should dig mine out to compare, but from memory these two are similar neutral browns when blended.
Lord knows I do NOT need another highlighter, but this one is so nice! It’s not white at all, but more of a creamy pearl. When blended it’s a really seriously gorgeous pearl finish.
It’s so pretty in the light. This is also a pretty heavy dusting of the powder. You don’t need much on your cheeks for a pretty pearly glow.
And bonus: the full size Chocolate Frogs come with wizard trading cards inside the caps, just like in Harry Potter!
And now the LIP GLOSSES! I’m so hyped about these. I’ve really grown to love Shiro’s gloss formula for its longevity and comfort.
There are five glosses in this collection (and there is also a sixth coming sometime soon).
Amortentia – my favorite! Bright pink with glitter sparks
Butterbeer – shimmery nude gold, super flattering
Polyjuice Potion – sheer green jelly
Felix Felicis- GOLD, omg super metallic gold
Every Flavour Lip Gloss – rich intense cobalt, that sheers out nicely to a blurple color
I love them all! Butterbeer tastes like butterbeer, which is amazing. Amortentia is a gorgeous pop of color. And the other three are unusual colors for me, but I really want to use them in some sort of avant-garde look now!
LOOK AT THAT GOLD. It’s insanely metallic and super opaque! It’s like Constant Vigilance (the shadow) if it was a golden gloss.
Amortentia has such a gorgeous sparkle that’s a little hard to see in the swatch, but it’s totally there.
I tried to show the two levels of opacity for Every Flavour Lip Gloss (sheer coat on top lip, thicker on bottom) but kinda failed, haha. But I swear, it builds up to a very opaque blue. The gold, Felix Felicis, reminds me of that Star Wars CoverGirl lipstick! I think this one is probably a million times better and definitely tastes better.
Every Flavour and Amortentia also have the best longevity, and that’s due to their rich deep color. Both also stain, which I love in a gloss. I wore Amortentia all day and by evening I still had a nice hot pink flush on my lips. Love it!
And that’s it guys! That’s the entire Shiro MM&M collection! Are you planning on snagging any goodies from this collection? I can honestly recommend any of it, so go ahead and pick your favorites 🙂
til later lovelies,
